I will be the first to admit – I love chocolate. Chocolate mousse, pudding, shakes, whatever it may be – I am a chocoholic. Ok a food aholic – same difference. BUT now with my surgery – I am being more conscious of what I put into my body. The protein, carbohydrate, fiber, and most importantly the sugar counts have to fit within my designated plan. I created the below protein shake to help me enjoy my chocolate and my protein while not blowing my entire days worth of calories and carbs. This shake is something I drank occassionally to satisfy that chocolate craving and I absolutely love it. Now that I’m progressing deeper into my meal plan, I can adventure out into new foods and not rely on protein shakes for all my nutrition – which is amazing. But for those starting out – this protein shake gave me life!!!
